Frequently Asked Questions

Who can practice pole dance?

Anyone can practice our classes as long as they are in good health. There is no age, weight, physical or sexual condition limit.

I'm not very sporty, I don't have strength in my arms, is it going to be a problem? 
No! Our job is to help you gain strength quickly. Pole Dance acts on the whole body! You gain muscle tone and endurance through cardiovascular work. In our class, each student works at their own pace and according to their goals.

Are the courses divided by levels? 
Las clases de Pole&Dance Mallorca se dividen en 4 niveles en el que cada estudiante aprende figuras apropiadas para el nivel de dificultad. En otras clases tipo Flexi, Aereos, Showdance, Yoga, no se requieren ciertas habilidades y por lo tanto no hay divisiones de niveles.

What should I wear?
It depends on the courses.
When starting the Pole Dance (during the first classes), shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt will be sufficient and without shoes. Later, and because you will feel more comfortable with your body, mini shorts and tops will be necessary. In fact, it is the skin that allows you to stick to the bar. Therefore, it is best not to apply any cream or oil on the body on the day of the course.

For aerial acrobatics classes, however, you must wear pants and a cotton T-shirt with short or long sleeves. You can do the class with socks or barefoot.

Para las clases de flexy se recomienda un pantalón largo y una camiseta. Es importante que la espalda y las piernas estén cubiertas. Para los cursos de Pole Art y Showdance, rodilleras, short y camiseta son las mejores vestimentas, lo mismo para las clases de Exotic sin embargo con tacones.

Es muy importante mantenerse hidratada durante las clases, por eso es posible comprar en nuestras instalaciones agua y bebidas energéticas y snacks.

IMPORTANT
Es importante quitarse los anillos, pendientes y collares además es obligatorio el uso de una toalla durante el calentamiento.

How does a class develop?
A class always consists of three steps:
- Warm-up (cardio and flexibility), which is mandatory to practice this sport safely.
– Repaso de las figuras y aprendizaje de nuevos trucos y también aprendizaje de una coreografía para los cursos ”CoreoPole”
- Final stretch: to avoid physical injuries and to increase flexibility.

Which level should I choose?
If you have never practiced pole dance, it is recommended to start with level 1. If you have already practiced this sport in another school, let us know and we will give you the most appropriate level.

When can I go to the next level?
Each level lasts approximately 16 weeks. Only the teachers of Pole&Dance Mallorca are able to determine the level of each student. They will decide if you should move on to the next level.

Do I have to cancel a class if I don't go?

For students with a monthly subscription: las plazas de las clase son limitadas, es importante cancelar la clase con 12 horas de antelación como mínimo para dar la oportunidad a otra alumna de asistir a la clase. Es necesario dicho aviso para poder recuperar la clase.
